Pix11 News: OCMH ED Eva Wong + ACS Commissioner Jess Dannhauser Spotlight SoulCare on Monica Morales’s Inaugural “Giving Wednesday” Digital Show

OCMH Executive Director Eva Wong, ACS Commissioner Jess Dannhauser, and Soul Care graduate Jaelen Padilla were invited to spotlight Soul Care on Monica Morales’s inaugural episode of Giving Wednesday, a series within Monica Makes It Happen on PIX11.

The Soul Care Program is a support initiative co-designed by OCMH, ACS, Public Policy Lab, The Center for Fair Futures, and Foster Youth Impact, Inc., in collaboration with youth in foster care. The program is designed to increase youth awareness of, access to, and choice in mental health care and services.

With personalized support from youth coaches (who also receive training and support) and alongside fellow peers with shared lived experience, youth learn to understand, identify, plan for, and reach their therapeutic and wellness goals while building community.
