News 12 Bronx: OCMH ED Eva Wong on the Community Health Worker Apprenticeship Program

OCMH Executive Director Eva Wong, VIP Community Services‘ Care Coordination Manager Sandra Ollivierre, and CHW Denise Pinero spoke with News 12 the Bronx as part of their exclusive look at our Behavioral Health Community Health Worker Apprenticeship program, which trains and pays community health workers while helping strengthen New York City’s behavioral health workforce.

Through hands-on experience with community partners across the five boroughs, apprentices are helping New Yorkers connect to mental health and community resources where they live.

We’re honored alongside community partners to support pathways into meaningful careers rooted in trust, connection, and community care.
