The Mental Health Service Corps is hiring social workers

NYC Health + Hospitals is hiring licensed social workers for the Mental Health Service Corps (MHSC), a Mayor’s Office of Community Mental Health workforce development program that aims to build a diverse generation of mental health clinicians, equipped to integrate behavioral health into a variety of settings. As part of MHSC, early-career clinicians are placed throughout the NYC Health + Hospitals system for 3 years with the goal of enhancing behavioral health delivery through existing and innovative models of care. To ensure a diverse learning experience, clinicians will have the opportunity to practice across multiple clinical settings such as primary care clinics, child/adolescent and adult outpatient clinics, and substance use clinics. Additionally, Corps Members will be trained in evidence-based practices under the supervision of licensed clinicians in order to screen, assess, and treat patients in a culturally responsive manner.
