City Leaders Visit B-Heard Training at EMS Training Academy
New York City Council Member Tiffany Cabán, OCS Commissioner Dr. Ayesha Delany-Brumsey, and OCMH Acting Executive Director Laquisha Grant were delighted to join B-HEARD Director Shane Hanlon and Assistant Chief of FDNY EMS Operations Cesar Escobar for a B-HEARD training in action at EMS’ Training Academy in Fort Totten in Queens.
B-HEARD, the Behavioral Health Emergency Assistance Response Division, is part of New York City’s commitment to treat mental health crises as public health concerns.
